Black Manta - prices and what's included

Prices are per person per trip and based on 2 persons sharing a cabin.
Exact pricing is available on the schedule here as prices vary dependant on the time of year, destination and the length of the trip

The trip price includes :
Transfers from the airport to the boat and to and from the marina.
Accommodation.
On-board guides (dive masters and instructors) accredited by government authorities.
12 liter aluminum cylinders + DIN/Int, and diving weights.
Three meals a day, tea, coffe and soft drinks.
Service and fuel surcharge
The selected sea route will take into consideration the passengers' wishes.
Soft drinks during meals (Coke and Sprite)
Maldivian GST and Green Tax and service tax
Free Nitrox

The trip price does not include :
International flights to and from Malé.
Dive equipment rental
Alcoholic drinks
Transfers by speed boat, airplane or seaplane depending on special routes or unscheduled arrivals and departures. (If a passenger wants to take a particular international flight, any extra cost related to the latter will be at the customer's expense).
Training, optional dives, equipment rentals and on-board services
Dive insurance is mandatory as is your own personal dive computer (You can rent one for the trip if you do not have your own).
I would recommend Dive Assist for your insurance for the trip as it covers all the necessary things and is very reasonably priced and you can choose the time period you need to be covered for and not have to pay for the whole year.

As well as the Mandatory Dive Insurance we highly recommend Trip and Travel Insurance on the off chance of missed or cancelled flights / lost baggage, documents, money or passport / Covid issues or any other unforeseen problems that could possibly occur.

Single Occupancy offer:
If you would prefer a private room there is a single supplement of +75% in addition to the displayed trip price (175% of the advertised trip price) due to each cabin normally being for 2 persons.
If you are a solo traveller and are happy to share then you are charged at the normal advertised rate and you wil be allocated a cabin buddy, who will be another guest, by the cruise director once on board.

If you would like to place a hold on your space to secure it for you whilst you make your final decision on the trip and explore your travel arrangements just let us know.
This can be held for a few days with no commitment required on your part and if at the end of that time you decide not to join the trip the hold will be released for you with no penalty or in the reverse situation where you would like to continue your booking you will be invoiced and sent the guest information forms and payment details to confirm your trip.

Booking Payment and Cancellation Terms and Conditions.
Booking deposit: 30% of your invoice total is required within 7 days of booking to confirm your booking.
Final payment of 70% is due to 90 days prior to the departure date to complete your invoice payment.
Individual bookings made less than 90 days before the departure date will be payable in full upon booking to confirm your booking.
Cancellation at any stage involves forfeit of monies already paid.
Payment can be made via Credit or Debit card (Visa, AMEX, Mastercard), Bank transfer, Wise, Revolut pay, Google or Apple pay at no extra charge.

Lower Deck Standard Double or Twin Cabins
There are 5 cabins on the lower deck with porthole windows that can be a double or twin cabin, these are cabins #1-5.
Each cabin has air conditioning and en-suite private bathroom.

Main Deck Seaview Double Cabins
There are 2 large double "Seaview" cabins on the main deck suitable for couples, cabins #9 & #10 at the front of the ship with panoramic seaview windows.
Each cabin has air conditioning and en-suite private bathroom.

Upper Deck Double or Twin Cabins
There are 6 cabins on the Upper deck that can be a double or twin cabin.
2 of them are called "Seaview" cabins and are at the front of the ship and, like the 2 on the main deck, also have a panoramic view from the front of the boat, these are cabin #13 & 14.
The other 4 cabins are "Deluxe" cabins also with a sea view but smaller windows looking out the side of the ship, these are cabins #11, 12, 15, &16.
Each cabin has air conditioning and en-suite private bathroom.

Arrival and departure questions and answers..
What is the ideal check in time ? - 3pm
What is the earliest check in time ? - They can arrange early check in with an extra fee of 48 USD per person and pick-up time for early check-in at 10 am at Male airport.
The rate includes half-day on board, lunch and private transfer.
What is the latest check in time ? - The free airport pick-up starts at 3 pm and the meeting point is at Male airport only, there are no hotel pick-up and normally the latest check-in is around 6 pm but it may be possible to arrive later, please check with us about this.
Where are you met on the day of boarding ? - The meeting point is at Male airport only, after the arrival area, the staff will be wearing a Dune Orange T-shirt with the Dune logo to make it easy for the guests to recognize them, they will usually be outside around Burger King.
Is there a check out dive on the boarding day or it is the following morning ? - Normally, they start the first dive the next morning after the check-in day.
What time does diving end on the day before check out (how many dives on the last day) ? - The last dive is normally the afternoon before the check-out day, but it depends on the conditions also if this is possible.
What time is check out on the last day ? - 8am but guests can book a “Late Checkout” at $48 per person.
If the boat is available upon departure on Saturday afternoon, you can be transferred later (until 14.00pm) from the boat to the airport.
