Arrival and departure questions and answers..

What is the ideal check in time ? - 12pm
What is the earliest check in time ? - 9am, the earliest transfer to the boats is around 12pm noon
What is the latest check in time ? - 4pm is the last scheduled transfer but for an extra charge later transfers can be arranged outside of these times at approximately $15 per person
Where are you met on the day of boarding ? - You will be met by an Eco Pro Divers staff member in front of the arrival exit, after baggage claim, at the international airport, easily recognizable by a sign reading "Eco Pro Divers" and boat name.
Is there a check out dive on the boarding day or it is the following morning ? - On the day of arrival and departure there is no diving
What time does diving end on the day before check out ? - On the day before departure there will be one dive in the morning enabling you to fly the next day.
What time is check out on the last day ? - 7-8am

If you would like to arrive the day before it is possible to stay in the airport hotel which is on the adjacent island (HulhulMale) as the airport (Hulhule island) or stay in another guesthouse on Hulhulemale Island for the night, we don’t recommend booking somewhere in Male as this involves a ferry or taxi ride to the next island and it is very busy and over crowded and probably not somewhere that would be enoyable for you to stay.
If you stay on Hulhulemale island your hotel will then deliver you back to the airport the following day (the day of departure) where you will be met by the boats representatives and taken directly to the ship.
Please check with your hotel / guest house if this is a free transfer as some of them charge for this service.
Planes do not fly late into the night so you will be able to sleep.

Upon arrival on the day of the trip, you will be met by an Eco Pro Divers staff member no earlier than 9.00 am in front of the arrival exit door, after baggage claim, at the international airport - easily recognisable by a sign reading "Eco Pro Divers" and boat name.

The earliest transfer to the boats is around 12 pm (noon).
Later arrivals will be received at the same place according to the flight time.
Waiting times may occur as group transfers are prioritised.
There will be another group transfer around 4 pm, depending on guest arrivals.
Extra/special transfers are chargeable at 15 USD per person.

For special routes with a different arrival port than Male, guests will be met at the respective domestic airport (Gan or Kooddoo) and not in Male.
We ask you to independently walk to the domestic airport and check in for your onward flight.

On the day of arrival and departure, there are no dives.
There are about 16-17 dives per week long trip
On the day before departure, there will be one dive in the morning.
At approximately 12 noon that day, the day before disembarkation, the boat returns to the harbour.

Divers must ensure the 24-hour interval between their last dive and their flight departure (or going to altitude).
For all diving sites visited en-route, our dive guides will give you a detailed and comprehensive dive briefing before you enter the water.

All divers must dive in buddy teams - individual divers will be assigned a buddy on board.
As qualified divers, the guests are responsible for their own safety and that of their buddy during the dive, as well as dive planning and execution.

Each diver must have their own dive computer.
Dives must begin, execute and end with the dive buddy.
You are expected to be able to dive to a standard as per the certification and experience requirements outlined for each itinerary and, as such, be able to complete the dive with your buddy or by following the dive guide.

Please note that you must have over 6 months left on your passport on the day of entering the country.
It is also mandatory to have (or rent on-board if you don’t have) a dive computer and to also have valid dive insurance for this trip.
Also please do not forget to take your dive certification card with you and also your log book if you keep one.

Please be advised that all visitors are not allowed to bring liquor to the Maldives. If you have bought liquor, beer and related items containing alcohol from a duty free shop while on route to the Maldives, these products must be bonded in the airport’s customs department upon arrival.
These goods will be returned before departure.
However, all resorts and liveaboard – other than hotels in the capital Male’ – offer world famous brands of liquor, beer, and other alcoholic beverages. Again, hotels in the capital Male’ do not offer liquor, beer and related products containing alcohol.

To enter Maldives no pre-arrival visa is required. A thirty day free visa is issued on arrival for all Nationalities.

Dive insurance is mandatory as is your own personal dive computer (You can rent one for the trip if you do not have your own).
I would recommend Dive Assist for your insurance for the trip as it covers all the necessary things and is very reasonably priced and you can choose the time period you need to be covered for and not have to pay for the whole year.

As well as the Mandatory Dive Insurance we highly recommend Trip and Travel Insurance on the off chance of missed or cancelled flights / lost baggage, documents, money or passport / Covid issues or any other unforeseen problems that could possibly occur.
Dive Assure Insurance offers cover for all these eventualities as well as complete Dive Insurance all in one package
